i4S unites researchers with a legal, criminological, social sciences or STEM profile around social issues and developments in the context of privacy, information exchange, law enforcement and surveillance.
i4S relies on the Ghent University Knowledge and Research Platform on Privacy, Information Exchange, Law Enforcement & Surveillance (PIXLES). PIXLES focuses on current societal dilemmas and developments in the context of privacy, information exchange, law enforcement & surveillance. It is a flexible, decentralised, interdisciplinary platform for UGent researchers with a legal, criminological, social sciences or STEM profile. It establishes ties with selected experts from the business community and law firms in order to further enhance its relevance for practice.
